The fate of three nations collides...

These events also thrust Leilana into a role as leader of a county she barely knows, uprooting her from her home and dropping her into a foreign land where political machinations pit her against those who she thought could be most trusted. 
 
Leilana is given a choice; safety for herself if she abandons the people counting on her, or the power she needs to save them all. Everyone wants her throne, and she'll have to fight to keep it and her life, forging new alliances and betraying those she's held close for years. Will the reluctant and awkward queen be able to salvage peace for her people, or will her father's need for vengeance and her sister's jealousy of the throne draw the Eastern Priestess Isles, The Matriarchy, and the Kingdom of Heaven into war with the Empire of Man?
